Army Private Offers Lesser Plea In WikiLeaks Case. The U.S. Army private charged with sending reams of government secrets to WikiLeaks is offering to plead guilty to some lesser offenses. Pfc. Bradley Manning’s civilian defense attorney, David Coombs, revealed the offer Wednesday during a pretrial hearing at Fort Meade. The hearing continues Thursday.

Red Cross Receives ‘Intent To Strike’ Notice In Midst Of Sandy Recovery. The Red Cross said it has received a notice of an intent to strike, which will continue to affect blood donations in a region that’s struggling to keep up after Hurricane Sandy. The Greater Chesapeake and Potomac Blood Services Region received a 10-day Notice of Intent to Strike from Teamsters Local #311.

SHA To Close Beltway’s Inner Loop On Sunday Night. The Inner Loop of the Beltway will close in the Catonsville area Sunday evening. According to the State Highway Administration, crews will close the Inner Loop lanes at Wilkens Avenue beginning at 9 p.m. Sunday. Traffic will be diverted through the Wilkens Avenue interchange onto Kenwood Avenue and back onto the Inner Loop.

Walmart Unveils Black Friday Deals. Wal-Mart wants you to forget Black Friday this year. Instead, the store is kicking off some of its hottest “Black Friday” deals on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, beginning at 8 p.m. The retailer says its best deals will be on electronics, tablets, TVs, gaming consoles, home appliances and toys. Last year, Wal-Mart rolled out its Black Friday deals at 10 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. This year is the earliest that Wal-Mart, the world’s largest retailer, has ever jumpstarted its holiday sales bonanza.
