Police Searching For Vehicle In Glen Burnie Hit & Run.  A pedestrian was injured in a hit-and-run crash in Glen Burnie on Tuesday evening. Investigators said the pedestrian was crossing Mountain Road near Jumpers Hole Road when he was hit about 7:15 p.m. Tuesday. The victim was taken in critical condition to Shock Trauma. Police said it appears that the victim was hit by a maroon or burgundy minivan or SUV. The driver fled east on Mountain Road, police said.

Pedestrian Critically Injured In Glen Burnie Accident.  A pedestrian is in critical condition after police said a truck backed into her in a Glen Burnie parking lot. Anne Arundel County police said officers were called to a parking lot at 7514 Ritchie Highway at 1:17 p.m. Monday. Police said a 2000 GMC pickup was backing up in the parking lot causing a woman, 43-year-old Stacy Lynn Barracato, of Pasadena, to become lodged under the truck.

Elmo Actor Kevin Clash Resigns.  Sesame Workshop said Elmo puppeteer Kevin Clash has resigned from “Sesame Street” in the wake of allegations that he had sex with an underaged youth. Last week a man accused Clash of having sex with him when he was a teenage boy, a charge Clash denied. A day later, the man recanted his charge, but a $5 million lawsuit by a second accuser was filed Tuesday, also accusing Clash of being involved with him when he was a minor.

Maryland Woman Pleads Guilty Of Embezzling $143K From FEMA. A 56-year-old Maryland woman pleaded guilty Tuesday to embezzling over $143,000 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency. According to the plea agreement, Sheila Ann Howard began working at FEMA in 1986 and beginning in June 2008 was employed as a Human Resources Specialist. As part of her responsibilities, Howard processed payments through FEMA’s Special Payroll Processing System, which handles payments that cannot be processed through the normal payroll system, such as cash awards and special bonuses, compensatory time payments and restored annual leave.
