Crash Claims 4 Lives In Anne Arundel County. A fiery, head-on crash killed three adults and a child Sunday afternoon in Anne Arundel County, police said. Anne Arundel County police Lt. Francis Tewey said the two cars collided minutes after 1:30 p.m. on Marley Neck Boulevard near Freeman Shores Road.

Davidsonville Fire Injures Two. It took 60 firefighters to control a two-alarm fire in Anne Arundel County that left two people injured, including a firefighter. Firefighters arrived in the 900 block of Malvern Hill Drive at about 7:30 a.m. Saturday and found a basement fire in a two-story, single-family home with two people inside.

BWI Officials Investigate Suspicious Item. Officials at Baltimore-Washington Thurgood Marshall International Airport are investigating a suspicious item left in an office area Friday afternoon that cleared a concourse for about an hour. Airport officials said the office belongs to a private airline, and is located on a lower level under Concourse D. While an item found in a desk was swabbed and examined, authorities did not immediately specify the nature of the item.

Woman Fatally Struck By Pick Up In Brooklyn Park.  A pickup truck struck and killed a 57-year-old Anne Arundel County woman on Ritchie Highway Friday morning. Anne Arundel County police said Cheryl Lynn Knick, of Brooklyn Park, crossed Richie Highway just south of 11th Avenue West shortly before 7:45 a.m. when a pickup truck struck her in the southbound lanes. Knick was taken to Harbor Hospital, where she later died.
