Navy Defeats Texas State, Secures Winning Season

Navy Football closed out their last home game of the season with a win. Some may say it was an ugly win, but a win nonetheless. After two touchdowns by Noah Copeland and another one by GeeGee Greene, the final score was 21-10.  Navy did miss some opportunities from the red zone with two botched field goal attempts.

Texas State seemed to come alive in the second half of the game and had their two failed 4th down conversions been successful, Navy may have been on the losing side of this game.

Traditionally, this game is the one where Navy salutes their graduating seniors (4th Class Midshipmen). There were dozens of parents and families on hand to honor their players. Navy Head Coach Ken Niumatalolo greeted each in the tunnel leading to the field prior to kickoff.

Next up for Navy? Army in the Army-Navy game on December 8th in Philadelphia and the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl in San Francisco on December 29th.
