UPDATE: Eye On Annapolis has learned that John Charles Villers-Farrow is the brother of actress Mia Farrow, the son of director John Farrow and Maureen O’Sullivan.  A 1992 article in People identified the suspect as her brother and claimed that he was a “sometime screenwriter and boat salesman.”

In August of 2012, members of the Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division Child Abuse Unit received information that a subject sexually abused several children in the Edgewater area of Anne Arundel County.

As a result, two adult male victims came forward with detailed accounts of being victims of sexual abuse from 2000 until 2008. The two victims were between the ages of eight until their early teens when the abuse occurred. The facts of the case were investigated and subsequently forwarded to the Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney’s Office, where the decision was made to file charges against the suspect.

On November 8, 2012, an application of charges was submitted to the Anne Arundel County Commissioners Office and charges were issued. The suspect, identified as John Charles Villers-Farrow, 66, of 1490 Wakefield Road in Edgewater, Maryland, was arrested on November 14, 2012, and charged with Second and Third Degree Sex Offense, Perverted Practice (two counts), Second Degree Child Abuse (two counts), Sex Abuse of a Minor (two counts) and Second Degree Assault (two counts). The suspect is currently being held at the Detention Center on $800,000 bond.

Anyone with additional information or anyone who may have also been a victim is asked to contact Detective Josh Williams of the Child Abuse Unit at 410-222-3484.
