Dozens Displaced After Odenton Apartment Fire. Nearly two dozen families are looking for new homes after their apartment building caught fire in Anne Arundel County on Sunday. The blaze broke out around 6 p.m. in the 2000 block of Military Place in Odenton. WBALTV.com ulocal viewer Deandra sent in several photos of the blaze from right after it started, showing flames leaping from the roof. “When I came over, I saw the explosion of the flames coming from the upper level, which is the third floor, and the fire was explosive,” one witness told 11 News. “You’ve got people who’ve lost a lot, but the good thing is that no one lost lives here.”

2 Injured In Crash Near Northeast High School. Two people were hurt after two vehicles collided near an Anne Arundel County high school, according to officials with the Anne Arundel County Fire Department. Officials said the incident happened around 5:50 p.m. Friday on Duvall Highway near Ft. Smallwood Road, near the entrance to Northeast High School in Pasadena.

Orioles Sweep Red Sox And Clinch Playoff Berth With A’s Loss. The champagne was on ice, plastic shields were in place above the cubicles in the Baltimore clubhouse and couches were removed to accommodate a celebration 15 years in the making. The party never happened — at least not at the ballpark. Baltimore clinched its first playoff berth since 1997, but not until late Sunday when the Texas Rangers beat the Los Angeles Angels 8-7 in the finale of a day-night doubleheader.

Man Shot In Face Walks Self To Hospital.  A man shot in the face Saturday evening ended up walking himself to a hospital, police said. Baltimore City police Sgt. Anthony Smith said the 22-year-old shooting victim walked in to Bon Secours suffering from a gunshot wound to his cheek. The man was last listed in stable but serious condition, Smith said. Police received a call regarding this case shortly after 8:15 p.m. He said investigators believe the man was shot in the 2000 block of West Fayette Street in west Baltimore.
