Anne Arundel Cares Donates $7,500 To Local Non-Profits

Anne Arundel Cares raised $32,160 for 22 local nonprofits during the week following its September 7th launch, including $7,500 in challenge grants won by three local nonprofits.

Anne Arundel Cares presented $2,500 challenge grant checks to representatives from Opportunity Builders, Inc., the Center of Help, and the All Children’s Chorus of Annapolis at 9:00 a.m. on Friday.  In recognition of their tremendous support as a Founding Sponsor of Anne Arundel Cares, the presentation was held at Capital One Bank, 2063 West Street in Annapolis.

Including their $2,500 in challenge grant winnings, all three of these nonprofits raised more than $5,000 for their programs during Anne Arundel Cares Week. In fact, OBI reports that the $7,225 in general donations they raised made it one of the best fundraising weeks they’ve had in their 50-year history.  A complete summary of the results can be found at www.aacares.org/results.
