Head up to Gambrills on Saturday, Oct. 20, for a great day of family fun as Roundz Gourmet Market hosts a Pumpkin Carving Contest and Fall Festival to benefit the Crofton Food Pantry.
You may bring a pumpkin you carved at home to enter
You may purchase one from Roundz the day of the event (10/20) to carve or decorate on site. We ask for a minimum $2 donation for the pumpkin, with all of the funds going to Crofton Food Pantry. We will provide carving tools and paints so you can choose the best presentation for your pumpkin. And, we will clean up the mess. Bonus!
Chef Zachary Pope and staff will judge entries at the close of business. Categories include:
- Best Culinary Inspired Pumpkin
- Spookiest Pumpkin
- Cutest Pumpkin
- Chef’s Choice
Winners will be notified by email or phone and will be announced on the Roundz website (http://www.roundz.com/) and Facebook page (www.facebook.com/RoundzGourmetMarket) . Prizes include Roundz gift certificates and food!
Also that day:
- FREE Carnival Games, such as Potato Toss (using kitchen tongs!), Egg & Spoon Race, Ladle Dash, and more…all with prizes!
- FREE Face Painting
And what would the day be without food? Chef Pope will offer a variety of seasonal and family-friendly menu items throughout the day.
The Pumpkin Carving Contest and Fall Festival activities run from 11:30 am to 3 pm. Donations will be accepted all day (11 am to 8 pm) for the Crofton Food Pantry. Monetary contributions or non-perishable food items can be dropped off at Roundz Gourmet Market at 2299 Johns Hopkins Road, Gambrills.
