Police Make Arrest In Glen Burnie Armed RobberyAnne Arundel County police said they arrested a 21-year-old man in connection with an armed robbery of a Glen Burnie business. Officers were called to the Shell gas station on the 100 block of Mountain Road at 11:15 p.m. Wednesday. Police said a man came into the store, demanded money and ultimately took money from the business.

Orioles Taking It To Game 5. With midnight approaching, the Baltimore Orioles’ bats awoke one more time. Now they have a last shot to finally overtake the New York Yankees.  J.J. Hardy hit an RBI double in the 13th inning and Baltimore bounced back from a demoralizing loss to outlast the Yankees 2-1 Thursday night, forcing a deciding Game 5 in the AL division series.

Sandusky’s Letters Blame Victims. When all was said and done, Jerry and Dottie Sandusky did not ask the judge for mercy. They did not try to extol Jerry’s virtues, list good deeds or express regret. Instead, they depicted the boys he sexually assaulted as ungrateful and called them liars. They blamed the young men — including their own adopted son, Matt, who now claims he, too, was molested — for their downfall.

Executive Protection Costs Rise In Baltimore Despite Deficit. Overtime costs for executive protection for Baltimore City’s top officials are increasing as budget deficits mount yearly. WBAL-TV 11 News I-Team lead investigative reporter Jayne Miller said many large jurisdictions offer no such benefit to their top officials. Despite a declining population and ever-growing budget pressure, the city of Baltimore not only keeps executive protection in place, it allows it to grow.
