Organizers of the Annual Virgin Mobile FreeFest expect close to 50,000 people to fill the grounds of the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia today. Gates opened at 11:00am to thousands already waiting in line with thousands more tailgating in the parking lot.

The headliners, expected to draw the largest crowds are Jack White, Skrillex, and ZZ Top. While the headliners are sure to put on a fantastic show, festivals like this are perfect for discovering new music. So far today, Justin Jones, Future Islands, Penguin Prison and Alvin Risk have been undiscovered talent for me. Please visit our YouTube channel for quick 30 second clips throughout the day and follow us on twitter.

Sir Richard Branson is in the house, and while I spotted him, the photo op sill eludes me. The hunt continues.
