Fire Destroys 2 Mobile Homes In Lothian.  At least one person has been hospitalized after a two-alarm fire engulfed two mobile homes in a southern Anne Arundel County neighborhood overnight. The blaze broke out around 3:45 a.m. Friday at a home at 12 B Street in Lothian. Fire crews said they found two mobile homes engulfed in flames when they arrived. About 60 firefighters were called to fight the blaze, which took more than an hour to get under control. (NOTE: See Eye On Annapolis coverage here.)

SHA Warns Of “Major” Delays On I-97. Don’t get stuck on Interstate 97: State highway officials warn of “major delays.” Maryland State Highway Administration crews are scheduled to make patch repairs to the concrete roadway every weekend ahead of the winter season. The work area stretches from the Beltway to just south of Benfield Boulevard in both directions of I-97.

Woman Accused Of Leaving Kids To Commit RobberyAnne Arundel County police said a woman left her five young children alone in an Odenton hotel room while she committed a robbery. Tameka Wright, 35, has been charged with robbery and five counts of confining an unattended child. Police said on Saturday, Wright and James Reid, 22, of Baltimore, entered a man’s hotel room uninvited. Officers said Reid pushed the man on the bed and demanded money. The victim gave Reid cash and his cellphone, and Reid and Wright left the room, police said.

Linthicum School gets An Oriole Surprise. An Anne Arundel County school won a very special prize from the “orange-hot” Baltimore Orioles, which issued a Go Orange challenge to schools across Maryland. Out of more than 30 school participating statewide, the winner hails from Linthicum. Everywhere you look, there’s orange. The students and faculty at St. Philip Neri School went all out to turn their school into Birdland.
