CTA To Present Get Smart

The Children’s Theatre of Annapolis presents “Get Smart” – a comedic spoof from the class television spy series of the 1960’s – on October 12 &13 and 19 & 20 at 7:30 p.m. and Oct. 13 & 14 and 20 & 21 at 2 p.m. at the Children’s Theatre of Annapolis theater in Annapolis. The theater is located at 1661 Bay Head Road on the Broadneck Peninsula.


The show, under the direction of Jose de la Mar, centers around bungling secret agent Maxwell Smart, also known as Agent 86, played by Zachary Roth of Glen Burnie. His experienced female partner is Agent 99, with Meghan Dickey of Arnold in the role. Nick Brice of Annapolis takes on the role of “Chief,” the long-suffering head of the spy agency named CONTROL, who is addressed simply as “Chief.” The show is based on the plot of the first episode in the series, created by comedian Mel Brooks and adopted by Christopher Sergel.


American Sign Language Interpretation will be provided at the 2:00 show on Saturday, Oct. 13. Tickets are $ 15, $12 for children 12 and under and adults 60 and over.
