AACC To Hold Auditions For ‘The Best Christmas Pageant Ever’

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever

Anne Arundel Community College will hold auditions Oct. 1-4 for its upcoming production of Barbara Robinson’s “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever.” Auditions will consist of a short music audition followed by cold readings from the script, and are open to the entire community. With roles available for children ages 6-16, college students and adults, all are welcome to try out.

“The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” tells the story of the delinquent Herdman kids, who show up at the local church for the first time ever when they hear that the church has snacks, only to end up starring in the annual Christmas pageant. A beloved children’s book, this play with music is sure to please the entire family with its comic yet heartwarming look at the holidays.

Specific audition information is as follows:

  • Monday, Oct. 1, or Tuesday, Oct. 2 – Auditions for adults and students ages 16 and older (Just show up one of these nights), 7 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Oct. 3 – Auditions for children (A parent must accompany any child who is auditioning), 7 p.m.
  • Thursday, Oct. 4 – Invited call-backs for all age groups, 7 p.m.

All auditions, rehearsals and performances will take place in the Robert Kauffman Theatre, located in the Pascal Center for the Performing Arts, on the AACC campus, 101 College Parkway in Arnold.
