7th Annual Taste Of Kent Narrows

Don’t miss the 7th Annual Taste of Kent Narrows on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at the Chesapeake Bay Exploration Center in Chester, Maryland. Come on out and sample the culinary talents of the area’s finest restaurants and enjoy the waterfront views of the Eastern Shore. But the fun doesn’t stop there…this family event also features live entertainment, local wine tasting, arts and craft vendors, children’s activities, and much more. With over 1,500 people from Maryland, Delaware and Pennsylvania in attendance last year and increased popularity among the local community, we are expecting even more at this year’s event. Food tastings will be available from 12 noon until 4 pm with entertainment continuing until 5 pm.

Live music will feature the steel drum band, Pan Fried Steel, and local favorites, D’Vibe and Conga. Arts and craft vendors are encouraged to participate in this community event. Download the vendor application at www.tasteofkentnarrows.org.

Proceeds from the event will be used by the Kent Narrows Development Foundation to maintain and enhance the Kent Narrows area. The Kent Narrows Development Foundation was created in 1990 to revitalize the Kent Narrows, a 955-acre waterfront area that has been indentified as an important asset to Queen Anne’s County. The Foundation’s mission is to provide guidance and oversight for the formulation of a strategy to balance new economic growth, community redevelopment, support for the County’s fishing and seafood industries, and public access to waterfront activities and amenities. The Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the area while preserving its unique character and history.

Tickets are $25 per person in advance or $30 per person at the door. Children 12 and under receive free admission with a paying adult. For tickets or more information, visit www.TasteOfKentNarrows.org or contact Becky Groff of Inspired Events at 410.739.6943. Tickets are also available at most participating restaurants.
