2 People Shot In Eastport Community

 

UPDATE 6:06am, September 10, 2012:  According to Deputy Chief John Mennassa of the Annapolis Fire Department, the call was received at 11:39 pm for two people shot. One 22 year-old male found on Medgar Evers St with a gunshot wound to the head and back was flown by helicopter to shock-trauma. A 27 year-old male was found on President St.with a gunshot wound  to the back. He was transported to shock-trauma by a paramedic unit fom the City.

UPDATE 12:20am: Police have found a 3rd victim in another residence and asked for another medic to the scene. In addition a 2″ gas main has also been shot and emergency crews are in the process of evacuating the area.

Two people have been shot this evening in the Eastport Terrace neighborhood of the Eastport section of Annapolis. Maryland State Police are enroute with a helicopter to transport one of the victims to shock-trauma in Baltimore and will be landing at the Eastport fire station.

Medgar Evers Street is located off of President Street and is managed by the Housing Authority of the City of Annapolis (HACA).
