Missing Boater’s Body Recovered In Gibson Island.  The Maryland Natural Resource Police said they recovered the body of Pennsylvania man who went missing on Labor Day. NRP said the body of Jason Ryman, 27, of Philadelphia, was found at about 9:30 a.m. Thursday. Officials said Ryman went missing on Monday when strong winds caused him to fall into the water while boating in the Six Foot Knoll area of the Chesapeake Bay, North of Gibson Island.

South Carolina Man Arrested In Father’s Death. A South Carolina man accused of fatally shooting his father in Pasadena is being held without bond in Parole. Darius Keenan Jr., 26, of Union, S.C., was arrested in North Carolina a few days after his father, Darius Keenan Sr., was found with a gunshot wound to his upper torso on Aug. 12. He is charged with first- and second-degree murder and other offenses.

5 Naval Academy Midshipmen To Attempt Flight.  Before five U.S. Naval Academy midshipmen spend the rest of their careers on water, they’ll be trying to avoid it at all costs. Five first class mids built a human-powered flying machine for the Red Bull Flugtag in Philadelphia. The Sept. 15 event features 34 teams competing in front of 70,000 people at Flugtag, which is German for “Flying Day.” The mids’ environmentally friendly machine, built to resemble a Naval submarine with a missile on top, will be pushed off a 30-foot pier. The missile will detach and glide through the air, coming to a safe landing 250 feet away.

Original Baltimore Ravens Owner, Art Modell, Dies.  Art Modell, the man who returned football to Baltimore, died early Thursday morning in Baltimore, the Ravens organization confirmed. Modell, 87, died of natural causes at Johns Hopkins Hospital at about 4 a.m. with his sons by his side, WBAL-TV 11 News sports reporter Keith Mills said.
