Leopold Seeks Nominations For Dallas G. Pace Humanitarian Award

County Executive John R. Leopold is seeking nominations for the Dallas G. Pace Humanitarian Award.

“Dallas Pace was a teacher, a coach, a scoutmaster, a soldier and a community leader,” County Executive Leopold said. “The award in his name is given to someone who has really made a difference in the lives of citizens from all walks of life.  If you know someone who has made such a contribution, nominate them to be recognized for their efforts.”

Dallas Pace, who passed away in 1974, was the first Human Relations Commission Chairman for Anne Arundel County. His long list of accomplishments includes membership on the national board of the Red Cross, the Annapolis NAACP and the Anne Arundel County PTA.

Any citizen 21 or older who resides within the County during the calendar year 2012 is eligible. Nominations must be received on the official entry form by October 1, 2012.
