Friendly Gesture Leads To Fight In Egewater Bar. One man is facing attempted murder charges while another is fighting for his life after a bar fight ended in a stabbing. Anne Arundel County police said officers were called shortly before 12:30 a.m. Saturday to the Londontown Pub in the  700 block of Londontown Road for a report of a stabbing.

Careless Smoking Ignites Annapolis House Fire. A woman was injured when a two-alarm fire ignited in her home Saturday.  Crews were called shortly after  9 a.m. Saturday to the unit block of Conduit Street for a report of a house fire. Upon arrival, the battalion chief requested a second alarm. A 45-year-old resident who suffered minor injuries to her hand was taken to Anne Arundel Medical Center for treatment.

Indecency Case Dropped Against Gary Giordano In Annapolis. A lawyer for a man who was suspected in the presumed death in his traveling companion in Aruba said prosecutors in Maryland are dropping an unrelated indecent exposure charge. Steven Kupferberg, a lawyer for Gary Giordano, said a prosecutor informed him of the decision Friday. Giordano was arrested in May after Annapolis police said he and a woman were found naked in a parked car. Giordano was charged with indecent exposure, and the case was set for trial next week.

Man Dead, Mother And Two Daughters Safe After Domestic Shooting.  A woman was injured in a domestic assault and shooting over the weekend, and her boyfriend was later found dead in the same home, according to Harford County sheriff’s investigators. Deputies were called shortly after 1:30 a.m. Saturday to the 1300 block of Tralee Circle in Aberdeen, where a 48-year-old woman said she had been assaulted and shot in her home by her boyfriend, later identified as Elroy Emilo Cole, 45.
