UPDATED: Double Stabbing In Edgewater

UPDATE 1:37pm 08/04/2012: The Anne Arundel County Police Department has released a statement on the stabbing. Based on this report, we have made minor corrections to the initial story.

On 08/04/2012 at approximately 0022hrs, officers from the Southern District Platoon One responded to the Londontown Pub located at 726 Londontown Rd Edgewater for a report of a stabbing. 

Upon arrival officers found the 47 year old victim on the front porch of the business suffering from a stab wound to his torso.  The victim stated that a male suspect stabbed him after a short physical altercation.  The suspect was on location and was taken into custody along with the weapon by responding officers. 

Through interviews with the victim and patrons it was determined the victim offered the suspect a drink as a friendly gesture.  The suspect then began to punch and stab the victim.  A patron at the bar struck the suspect, knocking him down, at which point the knife was taken away from him.

The victim was transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center for life threatening injuries.  The victim is categorized as stable at this time. 

The suspect was transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center for substantial facial injuries.  The suspect has been charged with Attempted Murder, 1st & 2nd degree Assault, and other related charges.

Police are sorting out the details that led to a double stabbing last night in Edgewater.  Police and EMS responded to Blair’s Londontowne Pub & Grille (726 Londontown Road,Edgewater, MD) around midnight for a disturbance.

Two One victims were  was found to be injured from multiple stab wounds and transported to area hospitals. Their His condition is unknown.
