Man’s Bizarre Theater Actions Lead To Arrest. Strange actions by a man at a movie matinee at a theater in Annapolis led to patrons fleeing the theater and the man getting arrested. Police were called to the Bow Tie Cinemas at the Annapolis Harbour Center around 3:45 p.m. Wednesday after getting reports of disorderly conduct. Several witnesses told police that Kyle Tanner, 25, sat down in the front row of one of the theaters while “Madagascar 3” was playing and began yelling expletives at the screen and the patrons. He left the theater twice and came back a third time, pointing and cursing at people in the audience and simulating that he had a gun.

John Leopold Trial Postponed In Anne Arundel County.  The misconduct trial of Anne Arundel County Executive John Leopold is postponed until November, according to the county state’s attorney’s office.  Leopold was set to stand trial on Sept. 4; however, his defense attorney has requested additional time. Leopold was indicted on March 2 on charges that he misused his security detail for personal or political business. Leopold was charged in March on accusations that he used police officers as campaign workers and, on other occasions, instructed officers to drive him to sexual encounters in parking lots with a former employee of the county executive’s office.

BGE Warns Customers Of Higher Bills In August. Baltimore Gas and Electric Company on Thursday said customers may experience higher-than-expected bills in August as a result of extremely high temperatures in June and July. “BGE wants customers to know that during the summer months, cooling typically accounts for approximately half of a customer’s energy usage, and when temperatures are extreme, use will increase accordingly and in some cases may even double,” said Jeannette M. Mills, vice president and chief customer officer for BGE.

Phelps Takes Gold In 200IM, Lochte Takes Silver.  Michael Phelps spent the day thinking about all the things he’s doing for the final time at the pool. It turns out that included one last win over Ryan Lochte. Phelps finally got a gold all his own at his final Olympics. Adding to an already unprecedented medal collection, he claimed his first individual victory of the London Games and handed Lochte a double disappointment on his rival’s final night in the pool Thursday.
