Discover how to earn college credit for what you already know at a free information session on assessing prior learning at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 21, in the Center for Applied Learning and Technology (CALT) at Anne Arundel Community College.
Adult students often have skills and knowledge that can translate into college credit that they gained from work experience, military service, seminars or workshops, noncredit college courses, independent study or volunteer service. AACC understands the value of learning outside the classroom and has developed several ways to evaluate that learning, including the use of College-Level Examination Program (CLEP), AACC departmental exams, American Council on Education assessment of business, industry and military training and prior learning assessment through the use of portfolios.
Get started by attending the July 21 information session and find out how you can get credit for what you already know.
