Baysox Hosting Family Campout

Bowie Baysox vs. New Britain Rock Cats - New B...

The Bowie Baysox have announced the 2012 Baysox Family Campout at Prince George’s Stadium on Friday, August 3 after the Baysox take on the Trenton Thunder at 7:05 p.m.

Following the baseball game, fans and families will enjoy a spectacular fireworks show and the kids can run the bases just like the Baysox players. Those who purchased the special camping ticket pack will then get their camping gear and head onto the field for a night of fun under the stars. Once all the tents are set up, a family-friendly movie will be shown on the video board for all campers to enjoy.

Baysox Promotions Manager Chris Rogers is eager to host another campout at Prince George’s Stadium. “The Family Campout has become a tradition for families and even entire neighborhoods,” Rogers said. “Often people think of only the boy and girl scouts for our campouts, but this event is fun for the whole family to enjoy. Everyone comes out and gets to sleep under the stars on the best lawn in town!”

Tickets for the campout are $10 and include a Box Seat Ticket to the Baysox game. Families also have the option of purchasing one of two food voucher options. Food voucher #1 costs $5.50 per voucher and includes a junior hot dog, a bag of potato chips and a Hi-C drink. Food voucher #2 costs $7.75 and includes a hamburger, a bag of potato chips and a Hi-C drink.

Families are encouraged to register early for this fun night under the stars on the Prince George’s Stadium field due to the limited number of tent spaces. Fans must pre-register for their tent space at the time of their ticket order. Tickets can be ordered online at www.baysoxshop.com or by calling Chris Rogers at (301)-464-4813.

To protect the playing field, no staked tents will be allowed on the field and no grills, open flames, or cooking equipment will be allowed on the field or inside the stadium. Campers are to leave their coolers and camping gear in their vehicles during the game and will be given a campout pass that will allow them to reenter the stadium after the game.

Baysox Baseball – We’ll Knock Your ‘Sox Off. The Baysox 20th season is underway. Parking is free at every Baysox home game and tickets are now available at www.baysox.com, or by calling the Baysox box office at (301)-464-4865.
