Stabbing Suspect Still At Large, Police Seek Help (Photo)

Anne Arundel County Police are seeking the help of the public in locating 21-year old James Zito of Millersville. Zito is suspected of stabbing his mother multiple times last night.  After an extensive search, the suspect still remains at large and the police are now seeking the public’s help in locating the suspect.   From the Anne Arundel County Police Department:

On July 30, 2012, at approximately 7:30 p.m., officers from Eastern District responded to the 700 block of Stacy Oak Way in Millersville for a report of family violence. Police located a 54-year-old female suffering from multiple stab wounds. Initial information indicated the victim’s 21-year-old son was responsible for the stabbing. The victim has been transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center with non life threatening wounds.

Police are seeking help from the public in locating the suspect, 21-year-old James Zito, described as a white male, approximately 5’9”, 170 pounds with long dark hair with a mustache. He was last seen wearing red shirtand dark sweats. Police are seeking charges for 1st Degree Assault and Assault with a Deadly Weapon. The suspect is possibly armed with a knife and anyone with information is urged to immediately call 9-1-1.
