Man Killed In Anne Arundel County Crash.  Anne Arundel County police said operator error and excessive speed may have contributed to a fatal motorcycle crash Saturday. Police and fire departments responded for a report of a single vehicle crash involving a motorcycle at about 7 a.m. on Route 4 South just north of the intersection of Lower Pindell Road.

Ocean City Authorities Probing Recent Sex Assault Attempts.  Ocean City police are looking for help in locating a man wanted in connection with recent attempted sexual assaults near bars. Police said all of the attempts were made in poorly lit, semi-secluded areas, the most recent of which was reported early Saturday morning. Detectives said in each case, the victims had been drinking and were walking home alone when the unknown man would try to talk to the victims and then try to force them to the ground, attempting to sexually assault them.

Boy, 4, Drowns In Kent County Pool. Police on the Eastern Shore said a 4-year-old drowned after wandering away from his home in Kent County over the weekend. Police said Jordan Adkins somehow left his home in the 300 block of West Street in Millington on Sunday. A family member found the boy in a neighbor’s above-ground pool in less than 4 feet of water, police said. That person started CPR and called 911. Officials said emergency crews rushed the boy to Chester River Hospital Center, where he later died.

2 Displaced By Howard County Kitchen Fires. Howard County firefighters rescued a sleeping woman when they responded to one of two  separate kitchen fires Sunday. Firefighters were called just after midnight Saturday to the 3500 block of Court House Drive in Ellicott City for reports of smoke in the kitchen. A neighbor had called 911 after hearing the smoke alarm.
