Counterfeit Bills Lead To Linthicum Drug Bust. Anne Arundel County police said a counterfeit currency report turned into a drug bust in Linthicum. Officers were called to the Red Roof Inn on the 800 block of Elkridge Landing Road at 11:37 p.m. on Tuesday. The innkeeper told police a guest presented counterfeit bills as payment for his room. During the course of investigation, police said they found the suspect as he attempted to drive away from the parking lot.
Man Attacked By Dog, Suffers Multiple Bites. Police and animal authorities in Anne Arundel County searched for a dog that bit a man Tuesday, but couldn’t find the animal. Fire Department personnel were called shortly after 6:30 p.m. to a medical facility in the 1100 block of Annapolis Road, where a 27-year-old man suffered injuries to his upper and lower extremities as a result of a dog attack, police said. Paramedics treated the man and took him to Baltimore Washington Medical Center.
Pasadena Woman Arrested On Drug Charges. Anne Arundel County police said they arrested a 52-year-old woman on drug-related charges after a dispute in Pasadena. Officers were called to resolve a customer dispute in the unit block of Luke Drive in Pasadena at 11:47 a.m. on Tuesday. Police said the dispute involved the homeowner and a pool company representative, who arrived at the home and contacted police regarding a dispute over unpaid fees. While there, an officer observed possible marijuana plants growing in a wooden planter on the grounds of the residence.
Governor Likely To Call Special Session On Gambling. House Speaker Michael Busch said he expects Gov. Martin O’Malley will likely to call a special session to address expanded gambling next month, WBAL-TV 11 News has learned. WBAL-TV 11 News has learned that members of the House and Senate are being asked whether they can be available on Aug. 8. “I believe the governor has made that determination to go forward,” Busch said.
