Man Arrested In Brooklyn Park Robbery.  Anne Arundel County police said they arrested a 40-year-old man in connection with a Brooklyn Park burglary. Officers were called to The Hilltop Inn on Thomas Road at 1:48 a.m. Saturday.  Investigators said a burglar forced his way onto the property and stole from the business. A witness was able to provide authorities with a description. Officers found the burglar in a wooded area off of Belle Grove Road.

Utility Room Fore Forces Evacuation Of Hospital.  A fire on the floor that houses labor and delivery services forced the Anne Arundel County Medical Center to evacuate patients Monday. Firefighters responded to the Clatinoff Pavilion on the hospital’s campus at about 5:45 p.m. after a strong odor of smoke was noticed. After crews arrived, it was determined the source of the smoke was a fire in a utility room on the third floor. The floor was filled with smoke, including the atrium.

Judge Sentences man In “Senseless” Pizzeria Slaying.  A man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for his role in a slaying during a botched robbery at an Anne Arundel County pizzeria. Charles Butler was sentenced Friday in the November 2010 shooting of Misael Flores at a Mr. Wings and Pizza in Glen Burnie. Butler will be referred to the Patuxent Youth Program. He apologized in court, though the judge said he didn’t believe Butler’s expressions of remorse were genuine.

19-Year Old Arrested In Glen Burnie Armed Robbery.  Anne Arundel County police said they arrested a Ferndale man after an armed robbery at a Glen Burnie business. Officers were called to the Shell gas station in the 7100 block of Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard at 12:22 p.m. Thursday. Employees told police that a man came into the store, displayed a knife and took cigarettes before fleeing the business on foot.
