Nicki Minaj performed to a packed house on Saturday night at the D.A.R. Constitution Hall in DC. Minaj, 29 performed for over 70 minutes on her largest headlining tour to date that will see her in the U.S. and U.K. this summer.
The colorful Minaj brought in a mixture of fans to D.A.R. Hall, from her newer teenage “pop” fans, to her loyal hip-hop followers. Nicki’s set list consisting of over 20 songs, seemed well rounded enough to please everybody in attendance and of course included some of her biggest hits such as “Starships” and “Super Bass”. Opening the show was Atlanta’s 2 Chainz, who also made a encore performance with Nicki on the song “Beez in the Trap”.

Minaj, hit the stage just before 9pm, to a sea of screaming fans rushing the stage (so much for the seats) as soon as the the lights dimmed for the opening number “Roman’s Revenge”. Nicki not only changed into 5 different outfits throughout the show but also changed into and out of several of her signature wigs. Minaj wasn’t the only one though, with hundreds of her fans being spotted around the arena wearing hot pink wigs and sporting wardrobe’s similar to her fun iconic style.
Nicki really shows no sign of slowing down. With her first movie acting role in this summer’s children’s hit Ice Age- Continental Drift and being a rumored front runner as a replacement judge on the next season of American Idol, it looks like we’ll be seeing much more of her in the upcoming year.
