2 Alarm Fire In Downs Community Damages Home

Anne Arundel County firefighters are cleaning up from a  a two-alarm fire that erupted just after 7:00pm earlier this evening. The fire at 1695 Coventry Place in The Downs on the Severn community in the Corwnsville section of Annapolis is believed to have begun in the basement and caused by lightning.

One firefighter fell through the floor but was not injured. There were no other reports of injuries.  The Annapolis Patch was on the scene and tweeted a photo and will have a full story shortly.
