Heat Doesn’t Deter Crowds For Annapolis’ Fourth Of July Celebration

As power slowly returned to the area from last weekend’s storm, people came out in droves to celebrate Independence Day in Annapolis. As it is every year, the event started off with a wonderful parade full of local community groups, marching bands, fire trucks, dogs, cultural groups, and yes–the politicians getting a jump start on their re-election campaigns.

The United States Naval Academy Band enthralled hundreds crammed into the Susan Campbell Park at City Dock and the evening wrapped up with a bang with a wonderful fireworks show over the Severn River.  But they say a picture is worth a thousand words…..video to follow!
