Volunteers Build Ramp For Special Needs Glen Burnie Boy. A young Glen Burnie boy with a physical disability is getting some much-needed help from volunteers after a good-hearted church member brought his situation to light. Leroy Windsor, 11, watched from his back yard Wednesday as about two-dozen volunteers from Home Depot worked hard to make his life better. The volunteers and area construction companies are building him a ramp into his home.

Crews Battle 2-Alarm Fire In Hanover.  Anne Arundel County fire crews battled a two-alarm fire in Hanover. The fire happened at a home in the 1300 block of Sewell Farm Drive in a neighborhood near Arundel Mills Mall at about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. Crews encountered heavy flames from a two and one-half story home. The fire quickly escalated to two alarms, but firefighters were able to bring blaze under control in about 20 minutes. The fire caused extensive damage to the home, leaving it uninhabitable.

Authorities Arrest Boy, 17, In Hospital Arson. Anne Arundel County Fire Investigators on Tuesday arrested and charged a 17-year-old Annapolis boy with arson. The arrest stemmed from an investigation into a Saturday incident at the Anne Arundel Medical Center’s Health Sciences Building in which a small fire was set in an elevator.

Police Release Images Of Thieves.  Anne Arundel County police released images of the people they said are responsible for thefts from cars in Glen Burnie. Police said the three thefts took place on East Park Drive during the early morning of June 18. Police said the thieves later used a stolen credit card at a Home Depot in Glen Burnie. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Eastern District at 410-222-6145 or Metro Crime Stoppers.
