Inaugural Kegs & Corks Beer And Wine Festival Coming To Blobs Park

On July 1, tickets will go on sale for the Inaugural Kegs and Corks Beer and Wine Festival on August 25 and 26, 2012. This first time event will be held at Blob’s Park in Jessup, Maryland.  Blob’s Park Bavarian Beer Garden was the home of America’s first Oktoberfest back in 1947 and is the perfect venue to host this unique festival where craft beer, microbrews and local and international wine come together for a fun weekend for all…catering to beer and wine lovers alike.

“As soon as we pulled up to Blob’s Park, we knew it was the perfect place to hold this event. You feel like you’ve traveled to Germany and once you’ve sampled some of their 80 beers from around the world you won’t want to leave” says Sharon Finecey of Inspired Events, the festival’s planner and promoter. Blob’s Park is conveniently located six miles south of BWI Airport off the Baltimore/Washington Parkway (295) at Rte 175 East (one exit from Arundel Mills Mall).

Don’t miss this opportunity to taste carefully selected craft beers and microbrews, in addition to exceptional international wines and local favorites.  Visit the Maryland Tent, which will feature local wineries and breweries. While you are there, enjoy a Maryland crab cake and some fresh local oysters.  Visit the Germany Pavilion, sponsored by Blob’s Park, and enjoy some delicious homemade German cuisine in addition to German beer and international wine.

The outdoor stage will feature live music performances by The Kelly Bell Band, Sweet Leda, The Roadhouse Clams, Appaloosa (a reunion tour) and more.  Check out the inside stage and listen to polka music by The Continentals.

Presented by Eye on Annapolis, the 2012 Kegs and Corks Beer and Wine Festival is being planned and promoted by Inspired Events.  A portion of the proceeds will go to purchase an AED for Anne Arundel County Athletic Fields.

Advance tickets, on sale July 1, are $25 each and available online at www.KegsandCorksFest.com.  Tickets purchased at the gate are $30 each. Groups of 10 or more are $20 each in advance only. Tickets for designated drivers and ages 13 – 21 are $10.  Kids 12 and under are free.
