7 Arrested At Massive Baltimore Area Rave. Authorities said seven people were arrested during a drug enforcement patrol at a massive rave in Baltimore area. The rave party, called Starscape, was held at Fort Armistead Park at Fort Armistead Road in Baltimore City adjacent to the Anne Arundel County line. Police said the annual event draws thousands of young adults from Maryland and surrounding states. The event consisted of a large outdoor music festival with three outdoor stages and a laser light show.

Shawn Johnson Convicted In Fatal Pizza Shop Shooting. An Anne Arundel County jury convicted on Thursday a man in the fatal shooting of a pizza shop employee. Four people tried to rob the Mr. Wings and Pizza Shop on Baltimore-Annapolis Boulevard in Glen Burnie on the night of Nov. 12, 2010. Shawn Johnson, 19, was convicted Thursday on first-degree murder, robbery and related charges, according to Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney’s Office spokeswoman Kristin Fleckenstein.

Teen Dies After Altercation With Baltimore County Police Officer. The death of a teenager Wednesday night following a confrontation with an off-duty officer in Randallstown has been ruled a homicide, Baltimore County police said. The state medical examiner on Thursday afternoon notified Baltimore County police that 17-year-old Christopher Brown, of Randallstown, died of asphyxiation.

Michael Phelps Questions The Randomness Of Drug Testing. Olympic swimming champ Michael Phelps is stirring up some drama in the Twitter-verse over random drug testing. Phelps posted a Tweet Thursday afternoon, saying, “Feel like my randomness for drug testing is like the randomness at the security lines at airports. Six times in three weeks?”
