Fire Investigators from the Anne Arundel County Fire Department have arrested and charged three people with the attempted firebombing of a home in Galesville.
The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. on June 1, 2012, when Anne Arundel County Firefighters responded to a call for a reported suspicious package in the 900 block of Galesville Road. When firefighters arrived they found what appeared to be numerous incendiary devices (which were identified as “Molotov Cocktails”) at the scene along with two cars that were also damaged. County Fire and Explosives Investigators and Police were requested and responded to the scene. The devices were discovered by the resident of the home after going outside to investigate a noise.
An ongoing investigation ensued and it is believed the incident was in retaliation for an earlier dispute. In this case, Alexander Lare, 17, of Dover Street in Churchton, Maryland, and Crystal Kalinowski, 19, of Lake Clare Drive in Annapolis, Maryland, constructed two molotov cocktails and planned on returning to the Galesville home to exact revenge on the residents. Lare and Kalinowski later met up with a third suspect, Christopher Lester,19, of Swamp Circle Road, Deale, Maryland, and all three returned to the house on Galesville Road where they deployed the devices.
