2 Arrested In Brooklyn Park Assault.   Two people were arrested after an argument turned into an assault in Brooklyn Park. Anne Arundel police officers responded to the area of 11th Avenue and Ritchie Highway South at 4:08 p.m. on Friday. A 19-year-old man told police he was involved in a physical altercation with two men after an argument. During the assault, police said the victim’s cigarettes were taken out of his hand. Police said Brooklyn Park residents Anthony Robert Carbone, 18, and a 17-year-old boy were arrested and charged with robbery and related offenses.

Maryland City Woman, 74, Wakes To Intruder.  Police said two men were involved in a home invasion robbery in Maryland City. It happened in the 200 block of Sharptown South at 3:51 a.m. on June 3. A 74-year-old woman awoke to a man with a flashlight in her bedroom attempting to take her purse. The woman began screaming, which alerted her son, who ran into the room and began to fight the intruder, police said. The intruder broke free and ran out of the house.

Armed Robber Strikes At Denny’s In Glen Burnie.  Anne Arundel County police said they are looking for an armed man after a restaurant robbery in Glen Burnie early Monday. It happened at the Denny’s Restaurant in the 6300 block of Ritchie Highway S. at 4:07 a.m. Employees told police that a man entered the restaurant, brandished a knife and demanded money. The employees complied and the robber fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

Howard County Police Probing Suspected Meth Lab. Howard County police have arrested four men after discovering what appeared to be a meth lab in a hotel room in Elkridge. Police said an anonymous caller told police there was a meth lab inside a room at a Holiday Inn Express in the 6000 block of Marshalee Drive about 10:40 p.m. Monday. Authorities said they detected a strong odor near a room on the fourth floor. Police said they knocked on the door and were let in by three men. Detectives said they saw chemicals inside the room and took the three men into custody. A fourth man who arrived while officers were there was also taken into custody. The suspects have not yet been identified.
