The Bowie Baysox have announced  Legends of Wrestling Night at Prince George’s Stadium Wednesday, June 13, as the team takes on the Portland Sea Dogs at 7:05 p.m.  The event features a special appearance by WWE Hall of Famer Bret “The Hitman” Hart.  Renowned for his part in the infamous “Montreal Screwjob” and his rivalry with Shawn Michaels, The Hitman will throw out a ceremonial first pitch before the game, and sign autographs and pose for photos with fans throughout the game.

Baysox Assistant General Manager Phil Wrye looks forward to the event.  “Over the past few seasons, our Legends of Wrestling event has enabled fans to meet legends of the squared circle like Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler, Mick Foley and Sgt. Slaughter,” Wrye said. “This year, we are fortunate to have one of the most influential and legendary wrestlers of all time, Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart, joining us for what will be a memorable experience for all of the fans that come out to meet him.”

A 2006 World Wrestling Entertainment Hall of Fame Inductee, Hart is a fan-favorite known best for his submission move “The Sharpshooter”.  He began wrestling professionally in 1976 and wrote his autobiography “Hitman: My Real Life in the Cartoon World of Wrestling” in 2007.
