2 Boys Hit By Vehicles In Separate Incidents.  A 6-year-old boy was seriously injured early Wednesday morning after police said he was hit by a vehicle in Anne Arundel County. The incident comes a day after a 3-year-old was struck and killed in southern Maryland. Anne Arundel County officers were called to the intersection of Bluewater Boulevard and Roff Point Drive in Odenton at about 7:45 a.m. Police said the 6-year-old boy was hit by a Chevrolet pickup truck while he was walking to school with his siblings and other students. He was flown to Johns Hopkins Children’s Center, where he’s currently listed in serious condition with life-threatening injuries.

Roads To Close For Preakness.   The 137th running of the Preakness Stakes takes place Saturday at Pimlico Race Course in northwest Baltimore, prompting road closures and temporary changed traffic patterns. The following streets will be closed to through traffic on Preakness Day: From 6 a.m. until 8 p.m.: the southbound Jones Falls Expressway exit ramp to eastbound Northern Parkway will be closed. Use the Cold Spring Lane exits. Cylburn Avenue will close from Northern Parkway to Greenspring Avenue.

Sewage Backs Up Into Several Homes.  An 8-inch sewage line broke, spewing sewage into several Baltimore homes Wednesday evening, leaving homeowners with a smelly mess. “In the bathroom, it exploded out of the toilet,” one resident said. The cause of the backup in the 3700 block of Brooklyn Avenue was not immediately known, but it was determined late in the evening that fault lies with the city, Baltimore City Department of Public Works spokesman Kurt Kocher told 11 News.

Couple Accused Of Recording Sex Acts With Teen. A Parkville couple is facing federal and state charges related to accusations that they were keeping a teenager as their personal sex slave. The indictment, which was handed down May 9, accuses 48-year-old John Blaes and 36-year-old Margret Jones of luring a 15-year-old from North Carolina to their home on Wendell Avenue and distributing recordings of sexual acts with the girl from July 2011 to November 2011.
