Police Investigating Sexual Assault In Crownsville

The Anne Arundel County Police have released the following information regarding a sexual assault that occurred Saturdayalong Generals Highway in Crownsville, Maryland.

On May 26, 2012, at approximately 4:45 p.m., officers with the Anne Arundel County Police Department responded to a residence in the 1900 block of Sigfrid Court inAnnapolis for a report of a possible sexual assault that had occurred earlier that afternoon at another location.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the adult female victim, who advised that she was walking along Generals Highway near the Rams Head Bar in Annapolis when a male subject driving a gray pick up truck offered her a ride, which she accepted. According to the victim, the male suspect stopped on the shoulder and physically assaulted her inside the truck. The female victim broke free and ran into a wooded area along Generals Highway. The suspect subsequently chased after her and sexually assaulted her.At this time, the incident is being investigated by detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division. Suspect: White male in his 40’s, approximately 6’0”, 170 pounds, clean shaven with blond hair and brown eyes, wearing a light blue t-shirt and khaki pants
