Man Crashes Car Into Annapolis Home

| May 17, 2012 | 0 Comments

A man was sent to the hospital this evening after crashing his car into a home on Chester Avenue in the Eastport section of Annapolis. Police were called to the area of Chester Avenue and State Street for a vehicle into a building.  The actual site, was at the end of Chester Avenue and left fire and police scratching their heads.

The vehicle appears to have been traveling down Norman Drive, crossed Americana Drive, over a curb and sidewalk, through a fence surrounding a tennis court, through another fence, across an alley, through a third (decorative) fence, and up a small embankment before flipping over and coming to rest against the home and an exterior oil tank. It did not appear that the car actually damaged the home other than some minor scrapes and gouges.  According to an officer at the scene, the driver was transported for what appeared to be minor injuries.
