The Harbor Queen Throws A Party

On Tuesday, May 22nd, Harbor Queen had a 40th Birthday Party with all her friends and family — Birthday Cake, Balloons and some serious sounding of horns in the Annapolis Harbor. A grand time was had by all. Over 300 guests attended the party which featured food from Ken’s Creative Kitchen and The Main Ingredient. The bash was hosted “progressive style” with food aboard Harbor Queen and three of her sister vessels docked at City Dock. Guests enjoyed hopping from yacht to yacht to enjoy the nibbles aboard each vessel.

Reverend Amy Richter, Rector of St. Anne’s Church started the evening with a maritime blessing. Proclamations from the city were “cried” by the Annapolis Towne Crier, Watermark’s own Squire Fred Taylor. State Senator John Astle, Delegate Ron George – a former Harbor Queen crew member – and acting Mayor Ross Arnett shared citations from the City plus tid bits of their own Harbor Queen memories. Aldermen Fred Paone and Ian Pfeiffer were also in attendance as well as former Annapolis Mayors Ellen O. Moyer and Richard Hillman (also known as Squire Richard when he’s guiding for Watermark). Ernie Green, Executive Director of Live Arts Maryland! led everyone in singing “Happy Birthday” to the Queen.

Happy Birthday Harbor Queen! Here’s to 40 more years of fun on the water.
