The Mitchell Gallery at St. John’s College presents “Image and Imagination: Anne Arundel County Juried Exhibition,” a biennial exhibition of some of the finest works by artists living and working in Anne Arundel County. Two- and three-dimensional artwork cre

ated in the last three years will be on display from May 24 through June 3. An opening reception, which is free and open to the public, with artists and juror Katherine Blood, Library of Congress curator of fine prints, will be held on May 24 from 4 to 6 p.m.

Blood selected 66 works from 323 works submitted for this exhibition representing 66 artists. Since 1994, she has contributed to exhibitions and publications featuring artists’ prints and drawings from the extensive collections at the Library of Congress. Blood is a member of the Print Council of America and has collaborated on print projects with organizations such as the College Women’s Association of Japan, David C. Driskell Center, International Print Center New York, Washington Print Club, and Washington Printmakers Gallery. She received her master’s in library science from the Catholic University of America.
