Kickham picked up his second win of the season allowing just six hits with four strikeouts and no walks.

On the other side, Zach Clark worked five shutout innings to begin the game, but in the sixth, Johnny Monell led off with a solo home run to put Richmond in front 1-0.

Then in the eighth, Monell hit his second home run of the game to extend the lead to 2-0.

Clark ended up pitching an eight inning complete game.  He allowed just six hits and the two runs in the game, but got his third loss of the season.  It was Clark’s fifth consecutive quality start.

Brett Bochy pitched a scoreless ninth inning for the Squirrels to pick up his third save of the season.

The two teams will wrap up the four-game series tomorrow at 2:05 p.m. RHP Tim Bascom (2-1, 3.72) will take on RHP Justin Fitzgerald (2-1, 2.70).

The Baysox return home on May 15 for a four-game series against the Altoona Curve.  The series will include a Military Appreciation Night on Wednesday, May 16.

Baysox PA Announcer Adrienne Roberson, who was a finalist for the full-time Orioles Public Address announcer position at the beginning of the season, will be announcing the Baltimore Orioles game on Mother’s day as the Orioles take on the Tampa Bay Rays at 1:35 p.m. The Baysox are on the road on Mother’s Day, so take a trip to Camden Yards to enjoy a baseball game with your Mom and be sure to support Adrienne as she makes her Major League debut.
