Annapolis Police Seek Help Identifying Bank Robbery Suspect

On May 7, 2012 at 10:45 a.m. Annapolis police officers responded for a report of a bank robbery at Severn Savings Bank, located at 1917 West Street.

Upon arrival officers discovered that a bank robbery had occurred.  The suspect is described as an African American male in his mid 50s (age range could be younger), 6’0”, 230-250 lbs, with a dark complexion, full beard or goatee, and glasses.  The suspect was wearing a royal blue baseball cap, grey zip-up hooded sweatshirt, with a blue shirt underneath with white lettering, white or tan pants, and white sneakers.  The suspect displayed a possible handgun and should not be approached the public.  It is unknown how much money was taken.

Mills-Parole Elementary School was placed on lockdown while officers searched the area for the suspect.
