The Bowie Baysox announce  the return of the Mustache May Celebration, Friday, May 25, as the team takes on the Altoona Curve at 7:05 p.m.  The event features two special ticket offers for mustachioed fans or mustache supporters and mustache-themed contests and on-field promotions.

Baysox Promotions Manager Chris Rogers is the brains behind the mustache madness.  “Personally, my cookie duster leaves a lot to be desired, but I have tons of respect for those who are able to grow respectable and even spectacular soup strainers,” Rogers said. “I enjoy seeing how creative fans can get with their homegrown or homemade mustache and this year we are going to have a lot of fun celebrating the lip sweater once again with several special offers.”

The Baysox are introducing a new Mustache May ticket offer for mustache wearers and lovers alike. Fans will be able to purchase two box seat tickets to the game May 25th and get a special mustachioed Louie bobble head doll for $20. Everyone who purchases the special ticket pack will also be entered into a raffle to win an Eastern League baseball autographed by Baseball and Mustache Hall of Famer Rollie Fingers. Out of every $20 ticket pack purchased, $4 will be donated to the charity Donors Choose, which is supported by Mustaches For Kids Baltimore. Fans can order tickets by going to www.baysoxshop.com.

The popular Show Your ‘Stache, Save Some Cash ticket offer returns this year; any fan with a mustache can purchase a box seat ticket the day of the game for $8 (regularly $17).  Mustaches can be either real or homemade for the ticket offer.  In-between innings, the Baysox put mustaches to the test with contests including best and most pathetic mustaches.  All members of Baysox staff will show their enthusiasm for the event with mustaches of their own and fans are encouraged to submit their own mustache photos to be displayed on the video board during the game.

Baysox Baseball – We’ll Knock Your ‘Sox Off. The Baysox 20th season is underway. Parking is free at every Baysox home game and tickets are now available at www.baysox.com, or by calling the Baysox box office at (301) 464-4865.
