Now That The Chicken Issue Has Been Decided, Annapolis Mayor Talks Turkey

Annapolis Mayor Joshua J. Cohen invites residents to attend  a budget forum, focusing on his proposed Fiscal Year 2013 budget, on Tuesday, April 17 at the Maryland Hall Auditorium from 7:00– 9:00 p.m.

Mayor Cohen is hosting the public forum explaining the City’s responsibilities and duties while reviewing the hard numbers and highlighting what the City is spending and what citizens are getting in return.

City Manager Mike Mallinoff and the Department Directors will also present a PowerPoint slide show that describes the wide array of services the City government provides. This fast-paced presentation is a great way to understand how each department interacts with others to deliver City services and facilitates the policies adopted by the City Council.

The public is invited to attend and ask questions following the presentation.

On Monday, April 30, the Annapolis City Council will hold a public hearing on all budget-related legislation.  The public hearing will take place in City Council Chambers, 160 Duke of Gloucester Street and will begin at 7:00 p.m.
