Odenton Bus Crash Injures One. Anne Arundel County officials said a man has been seriously injured in a crash involving a school bus and car in Odenton.County Fire Department spokesman Lt. Keith Hamilton said the crash happened about 6:40 a.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Telegraph Road and Betson Avenue. Authorities said no students were on the bus at the time. A 25-year-old man was taken to Shock Trauma in Baltimore with life-threatening injuries, officials said.

BBB Shred Day Offers Defense Against Identity Theft.  Maryland ranks third in the nation for complaints filed for fraud, and ninth for identity theft complaints, according to the Federal Trade Commission. For that reason, WBAL-TV 11 is proud to join the Greater Maryland Better Business Bureau for its third annual BBB Shred Day. Local residents and businesses can bring up to three boxes of personally identifiable documents for free on-site shredding.

Anne Arundel Schools Name 2012 Teacher Of The Year. An elementary school teacher known for following up with her students years later received a special honor Monday night in Anne Arundel County. Martha Gardner, a fifth-grade teacher at Belvedere Elementary School in Arnold, was named as the 2011-2012 Anne Arundel County Public Schools Teacher of the Year.

More ‘No Confidence’ Votes For Arundel Police Chief Teare. The Anne Arundel County Council can be added to the growing list of voices expressing no-confidence in county Police Chief James Teare. On Monday night, the council voted 4-3, voicing its concerns over Teare’s ability to lead the department in the wake of the indictment of County Executive John Leopold.
