The Rotary Club Of Parole Seeks Community Service Award Nominees

English: Rotary International emblem

The Rotary Club of Parole (Annapolis) has established the Community Service Award to recognize an outstanding individual whose personal efforts as a volunteer for a charitable or nonprofit organization have contributed significantly to the betterment of the Greater Annapolis community.  The Club will contribute the sum of $1,000.00 to a local charity or organization of the honoree’s choice.  The recipient will also receive a one year honorary membership to the Parole Rotary Club.

The Rotary Club of Parole (Annapolis) is comprised of approximately 80 members, who enthusiastically share and demonstrate the Rotary philosophy.  We are a service club that significantly improves lives in our local community and around the world by meeting real needs.  Our vision “We will make a positive difference for youth today, so they will make a difference tomorrow.”

Rotary’s guiding principle is Service Above Self.  Rotarians develop community service projects that address many of today’s most critical issues—children at risk, health & hunger, water and literacy. We support programs for youth; educational opportunities and international exchanges for students and professionals; and vocational and career development and much more.

Nonprofit and charitable organizations in the Greater Annapolis area are invited to nominate an individual for the award.  Additional information and nomination forms may be obtained from Amy Ryan at 330-618-8369, by email to [email protected] or at www.parole-rotary.org, under documents, Community Service Award. Nominations must be received by Friday, March 30, 2012.
