7 Hurt In AA Co. Bus Collision.  At least seven people were hurt in an early-morning bus accident in Anne Arundel County. County fire officials said a bus collided with a car at about 8:30 a.m. Sunday on College Parkway and Peninsula Farm Road near the Anne Arundel Community College in Arnold.The bus was transporting adults with special needs and seniors.

Bay Bridge Sees Traffic Increase, Despite Toll Increase. Higher tolls on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge haven’t led to fewer cars and trucks crossing the busy span to the Eastern Shore.The Daily Times reported that there has actually been a slight increase in traffic of 3 percent since the cash toll increased. On Nov. 1, tolls went up from $2.50 per car to $4.

BGE To Begin Installing ‘Smart’ Meters In May. Baltimore Gas and Electric Co. will begin installing “smart meters” in May.The Baltimore Sun reported that it’s part of a major effort to modernize central Maryland’s electricity grid.The three-year, $482 million rollout begins in Pasadena and will continue in stages until 1.3 million analog electric meters are replaced with digital ones and 700,000 gas meters are upgraded by the end of 2014.

Construction Worker Hurt In I-95 Hit-And-Run. A driver struck a construction worker early Sunday as crews re-striped lanes on Interstate 95 in downtown Baltimore.Ricardo Jobes was struck just after midnight Saturday on I-95 near Caton Avenue. Maryland Transportation Authority police said a driver veered into the construction zone, hit Jobes and took off.
