Annapolis Recreation and Parks announces the 6th annual Truxtun Youth Triathlon for Sunday, June 17. Registration is under way.

The Truxtun Youth Triathlon is an annual event that challenges kids (ages 7-17) to complete a swim, bike and run event in a highly supportive and motivating community environment. This event has grown into an incredibly rewarding day, with more than 200 youth athletes and their families joining in a heart-warming and challenging experience.

For the second year, the Truxtun Youth Triathlon will be the second event in a four-part youth triathlon series throughout Maryland. The three other triathlons will be held in Frederick, Columbia and Mount Airy in May, July and August, respectively. Youth that participate in two or more of the four-part series will receive a certificate of recognition from the state of Maryland. Information about the Maryland series can be found at

Truxtun Youth Triathlon registration is now available online at www.annapolis.gov/recreation. We encourage early registration as fees increase on April 16. To learn about volunteer or sponsorship opportunities, please contact Jennifer Jennings at jmjennings@annapolis.gov
