Police Looking For Suspect In Pasadena Sex Assault

On Sunday, February 19, 2012, officers from Eastern District responded to a residence in the Lake Shore community in Pasadena for a report of an alleged sex offense that occurred on Tuesday, February 14, 2012. The nine-year-old victim reported that she was walking home from Lake Shore Elementary school between 3:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. through the Riding Woods neighborhood when a male suspect grabbed her and pulled her into a wooded area, where the sex offense reportedly occurred.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division-Sex Offense Unit responded to this incident and assumed responsibility for the investigation. A composite sketch of the suspect has since been completed. There have been no recent reports of suspicious persons or suspicious activity in the community; however, police are seeking information regarding anyone matching the suspect’s description.

Police have increased patrols to the area and will have additional patrols available during school hours throughout the week. Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to contact Detective J. Widup at 410-222-3468.

Suspect: Black male, approximately 35-40 years old, 5’11”, 175-200 pounds, clean shaven with a bald head, last seen wearing a brown and yellow jacket, black shirt and black pants.
