The Anne Arundel County Commission on Disability Issues announced today its final call for artwork submissions for The 2012 Artists With Disabilities Art Exhibit. This exhibit, which runs from April 19 to June 15, at the Arundel Center in Annapolis, will feature 25 works of art. It provides an exciting opportunity for county residents with disabilities to showcase their talents. Anne Arundel County Executive John R. Leopold , will kick off the exhibit with an Opening Night Reception on April 19.
Artists of all ages and disabilities who reside in Anne Arundel County are encouraged to submit artwork by Feb. 20. Up to three original works may be entered into the exhibit. Entry procedures and application forms are posted on the Disability Commission’s web site at www.aacounty.org/Aging/
April Nyman, executive director of The Arts Council of Anne Arundel County; Lesley Bender, Exhibit Chair and member of the Arts Council Board of Directors; and Yumi Hogan, Arts Professor and also a member of the Arts Council Board of Directors, will judge all submitted artwork.
